Restorative Justice
A system of criminal justice which focuses on the rehabilitation of offenders through reconciliation with victims and the community at large. Programmes allow offenders to understand the impact of their crime on victims, take responsibility, and make reparation. Can include face-to-face conferences, victim impact panels, or community service.
